The King of Swamp Stomp, and the King of Slydeco release new albums...
Iron Mike released both his single Mamie, and his new album Swamp Stomp, while Sonny Landreth released his first live album in 12 years, Recorded Live from Lafayette.
Sonny Landreth - Recorded Live From Lafayette (From Mascot Label Group):
After a dozen acclaimed albums, virtuoso slide guitarist and bandleader Sonny Landreth found himself at an artistic crossroads. He wanted to finally create the full-length acoustic collection his fans had long requested. But he was also itching to capture the sound of his stalwart electric trio augmented by a couple of his favorite collaborators. And the time was certainly right for an elastic, career-spanning double-live album.
So Landreth and his longtime friends decided to do it all. Recorded Live in Lafayette is a 16-song opus that covers more musical ground than any single album ever could, as the singer and songwriter’s work stretches and twists across 93 minutes of full-band acoustic and electric bottleneck lightning.

Iron Mike Norton - Swamp Stomp (From GFO Records):
The King of Swamp Stomp, Iron Mike Norton has released the first compilation album of his career, aptly entitled, Swamp Stomp. The LP will contain digitally remastered versions of songs from the last decade, plus three previously unreleased tracks, including his new single, Mamie, due out June 27. Mamie, which has long been a staple of Iron Mike's live shows, is considered by many to be the song that spawned the swamp stomp genre more than a decade ago.
Swamp Stomp will contain two other previously unreleased tracks including Dead Man's Stomp, a song about Florida's death row, and Rainmaker, a tribute to Iron Mike's long time mentor, Sonny Landreth. A special edition of Swamp Stomp with exclusive artwork, photos and a BONUS TRACK will be available exclusively through the Official Iron Mike Norton Store at ironmikenorton.com
